Library Services Semester 1

We are delighted to announce the Library will open from 2pm – 6pm on Friday the 21st September. We will then be closed for the holiday weekend (22nd, 23rd and 24th September) and reopen at 8am on Tuesday 25th.  We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to enjoy our collections, student computing and study spaces which will be available as normal, with Library and Learning Technology staff on hand to help.

Getting to the Library will require some navigational nous as Renfrew Street, and the lower half of Scott Street remain closed. To get to our front door, walk or cycle to the corner of Hill Street and Scott Street then come down Scott Street.

The Library will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday (a local holiday) and open again at 8am on the 25th September.

Over the summer we have been working hard to expand the range of digital collections and services. Visit the Library website to watch new orientation videos, get information on student computing, and explore the new online resources.

Library inductions for new students have been scheduled with programme leaders for the first two weeks of the semester. Open inductions will be running as well. Just come in and sign up for a session that suits you.

If you would like to return books or talk to a member of Library or Learning Technology staff before the the building reopens please come to our temporary Library information point on the mezzanine floor in the Haldane building. It will be open until the Library building reopens. Alternatively you can email library@gsa.ac.uk anytime or phone 0141 353 4551 during opening hours.
