***EXTENDED DEADLINE! *** – zine competition

Thank you for all your entries so far! We’ve been so impressed by the quality and variety of the zines you’ve submitted that we want to keep it running for even longer, so we’ve extended the deadline for the competition for an extra week. You can still be in with a chance to win a £50 voucher for lots of local pubs and restaurants – just submit your entry to the Library Service Desk by 10/10/18!

To celebrate Fresher’s Week 2018 and the re-opening of the Library we are running a zine competition on the theme of START OVER. What does starting over mean to you? If you’re new to GSA, your zine could be about starting over in Glasgow; or it could be a response to the School starting over after the Mackintosh fire. (Alternatively, ditch the theme altogether: we’d also happily accept fanzines, perzines, or any other kind of zine!)

Your zine can be any medium you like: a comic, illustrations, print or paint, poetry or prose, collage or photographs. Go wild!

The winning zine will receive a £50 voucher which can be used in any of the following bars and restaurants: Mono, Stereo, The 78, The Flying Duck and The Old Hairdressers. All entries will be added to the hallowed halls of our zine library.

If you’re a Fresher you’ll find a copy of the template and rules in your Fresher’s Welcome Pack. If not, they’ll be available at various locations throughout the School or online here:

Entries can be submitted at the Library Information Point. The closing date for the competition is 3/10/18 and the winner will be announced shortly after. Contact c.baird@gsa.ac.uk with any enquires.

Good luck, zinesters!
