Visiting the Library: Students of Other Institutions
PLEASE NOTE THAT GSA LIBRARY REMAINS CLOSED TO ALL VISITORS DUE TO PANDEMIC.
FE and Undergraduate Students
If you are a student at a Higher or Further education institution you are welcome to use our collections, for reference only, during our normal opening hours. Please report to our Service Desk on the ground floor, where you will be required to provide photographic ID. Guest photocopying is available upon request.
If you wish to borrow from our collections, you can join our External Membership scheme for an annual fee. Discounts are available for GSA alumni or Friends or anyone participating in a GSA Continuing Education programme.
Students on Joint Programmes
If you are a student on a programme delivered jointly between GSA and another institution, such as the University of Glasgow, you will have full access and borrowing rights to the libraries of both institutions.
Postgraduates of participating home institutions can apply for limited borrowing rights to GSA Library via the SCONUL Access scheme. Please check your eligibility with your home institution, who will also direct you on how to apply.
You will be entitled to borrow 5 books at a time and will have access to photocopying facilities. Unfortunately, you will not be allowed to borrow DVDs or journals, and you will not have access to our computing facilities or online resources. You will be able to access the Internet however through our wifi network.
